Summary
In an effort to ensure full transparency with the medical product industry, the FDA Los Angeles District Office is hosting a workshop on improving supplier controls. During cGMP investigations and through import inspections, FDA has noted several areas where industry could improve Supplier Controls and we would like to share our observations with industry in an effort to improve these critical activities. This workshop will include presentations by representatives from FDA and industry discussing our current challenges with Supplier Controls and suggestions for improved supplier quality management.
This workshop is intended to act as a kick-off meeting for a proposed quarterly Discussion Group where FDA and Industry can come together to address relevant Industry issues and how best to resolve them. This workshop and discussion group will encompass the various global regulations for medical device, pharmaceutical, biological, IVD, and dietary supplement supplier controls.
